Backups - Always Automatic?

Hi,

Are Backups always automatic, on/off according to the preferences setting?

Or, can the user create a Backup manually?      If so, how/where?

When you save a file, the previous version is kept as a backup in the 'backups' folder next to the file. You can return to one of these backups from the File menu. If you want to keep a version for longer you can save a copy with Save As.
