Kontakt 7 refuses to load Libraries (OSX)

Posted

When using Kontakt as an Audio Unit plug-in, attempting to load a library either results in the error message ‘The file format is not supported or is corrupt’ or shows the ‘Missing Content’ window.
On any library....
Is this a known bug?

I'm using Kontakt 7 AudioUnits for library racks all the time. Does this message also occur when you create a new library from scratch as a test?

I expressed myself incorrectly. This is not about the libraries in Synfire. The issue is that I cannot load Kontakt instruments within Kontakt itself. The error occurs there. It is a Kontakt-related error, but it only happens when Kontakt is used as a plugin inside Synfire. In standalone mode or in other DAWs, it works correctly.

That's macOS denying access to your sounds volume and folders. In Audio/MIDI Setup window on the Audio tab, use the button next to the plug-in scan button to grant access to the folders. Opening a folder once will ask macOS for access.

Since Kontakt is part of the Engine process after it has been loaded, this should not be necessary. I don't know why this happens occasionally. That's what this button is for.
