Does anyone have any idea how to get a high quality stand alone synth or soundfont player to replace the default GM player in Vista? It used to be possible to do this in XP. I want to set it as a default for different DAWs so I can automatically route HN to higher quality sound without using a yoke. I've tried the LoopBE1 which works with one of my DAWS but I would like a general GM replacement.

Just a note to say there is no need for a response as I found a solution, after Googling, for replacing Microsoft Wavestable as the default midi player with a soundfont player loaded with the highest quality sounds. The beauty is this will also play other media files.
