I just want to put to your attention that Reaper 3.4 now can copy/past MIDI to and from other application.
I remember that the lack of this capability in sequencers has been commented in this form in the past.

I tested with 3.4 and it doesn't seem to work on the Mac. How do you copy data the clipboard? Is there something that needs to be enabled specifically?
