Hello there!
I am wondering if there will be an update for NH2 advanced. If there is can you include something where NH2 can help choose the chords use when modulating keys like from the verse to the chorus. I feel that this will be a great addition to the software.
Thanks for all the great work you do.

Thanks Janamdo, I appreciated
I have noticed the circle of fifth highlights the common chords between keys. You are right! So when I use the auto harmonizer for a melody that has the verse in one key and the chorus in another one, HN2 generates the right chords? I do not have to worry about my source and target key? or do I have to do it manually?
I will explore some more. I have watched the tutorial. I will studied some more.
Thanks again.

It is already there @Eduardo in HN2..see also the videotutorial
You can see the shared chords(pivot chord) between 2 scales..(depends of the distance between the 2 keys )
The condition for shared chords is that they have shared tones
Example
Cmajor en Gmajor do have 6 tones sharing so the chance that they share also chords is large
You call one scale the "sourcescale"and the other the "targetscale".so to modulate from a sourcescale to a targetscale is the case
Important !: the achieve a ideal modulation you must go from V to I chord at the targetscale ( dominant to tonic cadenz )
It should be nice if thereis more guiding by HN2 for modulation, but that is complicated to program for all sort of scales
If you take the diatonic modulation for the circle of fifth scales (outer ring : major scales and inner ring minor scales) seems to be relative easy, but the idea is to modulate for all sorts of scales if it is possible.

Hi Eduardo.. Interesting question.. autoharmonizer i think fit the right chords for a melody so when it fits the verse + chorus melody
In the verse melody there is a transition to the chorus melody ? and perhaps that synfire comes with a acceptable chance of key for the chord progression?
If you go from Cmaj to Amin that seems to be easy ( relative keys) , so perhaps you can make a guess of the pivot chords form the verse scale to the chorus scale and compare this with the autoharmonizer chordprogression
I don't think that HN2 comes up with the best modulated chordprogression, that is my estimation
What are the keys you are dealing with?
Note: i bought also HN2 and like this .. also trying Synfire pro, but before you understand this program with the manual and video's !and HN2 is included in Synfire Pro.

It seems that the autoharmonizers works per section
So a verse and chorussection melody harmonizing in one take is not possible
Than you have to put the melody in one section for the verse and chorus to get one chord progression, but that is not handy?
Test:
Suppose a verse in Cmajo and a chorus in Amin ( Cmaj and Amin are relative scales from eachother)
Start with c tonic note from Cmaj and make a melody in the verse from the scale tones and do the same for Amin on a a note below c start the next melody for the Chorus
I think you can harmonize both sections with the autoharmonizer , but there is no modulation..you must do this by hand than.
I ask earlier to Cognitone for doing this to automate it modulation with the software, but that's too much for them now or impossible?
Although you can program everything.

When you buy Synfire Pro there is also HN2 when you unlock it.
edit->Preferences->User interface->Tweaks-> Reveal Experimental Features ( menu in SFP )
This brings HN2 in SFP and you can choose a songfile, but it has not the easy workflow as in HN2 i think
There is no basis(stylepattern) loading directly with a chordprogression section area on top in one screen in SFP
It seems rather complicated ( for me ) to work with the accompaniment there and you can use a accompaniment in a container or convert the accompaniment to the arrangementview where the instrument phrases are split
