If you zoom out an instrument in one container, I'd like to see the same zoom in if I open a container.  For instance I have several containers 4 bars long for a series of piano riffs. Each time I open a new container, I must rezoom to get the view.

Yep. The user should have the option to use the same zoom and minimized status for all containers.

It would probably be best if there was one global state and individual states per container. The user could then switch between the two as needed.
