So when I press play in the arrange window the selected accompaniment will play along with the harmony. Even would be happy with just the chords sounding, so I can jam along. Seems only the figures in the instruments play even when the playback function has been selected. Thanks in advance, Luke.

Hi Ismurp,
the real-time accompaniment selected with the Playback menu is for live palette surfing and progression editing only. If you want to use the accompaniment pattern inside an arrangement, you can do the following:
* Open the desired pattern
* Convert it to an arrangement (File >> Convert >> Open as Arrangement)
You can also copy and paste individual phrases from different patterns into a new arrangement or any container therein, if you wish.

thanks for the tip on opening a pattern in the progression editor, will come in handy.
also, don't know if it's function is meant for this, but if you tick the accompaniment box under the chords sub-menu in the interpretation parameter for an instrument it plays back the chords in the harmony parameter, seems for any instrument with any figure, even just melodic. Luke.

Hi Luke,
the accompaniment interpretation switch enables a generator that builds a figure behind the scenes that renders the chords exactly as they occur in the progression. The figure of the phrase is ignored in this case.
IMO this should be more of a generator or synth sort of parameter, rather than an interpretation switch. This would make clear that something new and context sensitive is created on the fly.
