Hi i have set up two keyswitches for switching in my device description, when i go to the instrument tab - misc the articulation button is greyed out. how do i assign an articulation to a figure?

Be sure you assigned a sound that offers articulations first. Available articulations then appear in the parameter inspector for Figure as a menu button.
The button on the Misc tab is for creating new articulations per instrument.
