blacked out modal dialogs

Nearly all the little modal confirmation dialog boxes are coming up blackened out on my display.  If I hit the return key it will briefly flash the GUI before it goes away, but hitting return is not always the thing that needs to be done, and I have no idea, because i can't see what is supposed to be displayed.

(see attached image file, I can't figure out how to embed it here in the post)

This is happening in HN, but I am demoing Synfire and its also happening with that product too.

Yep, this is a known issue we are currently fixing. Thanks for bringing it up.

Workaround for the meantime:

The ESC key doesn't work for all dialogs, but you can still click on one of the (invisible) buttons to make them reappear. Be sure to move the mouse away from the button unless it's the one you wanted to click anyway. Not pretty, but does the trick for now.

Thanks for getting back.  I will try the ESC key next time.  I am pretty sure this is mostly happening when closing a project it is probably asking me if I want to save it or not.  I will try the work arounds next time, glad to hear you're already on top of fixing it.

Unfortunately the error still occurs.

Thanks for reporting. I didn't see it anymore, but obviously that doesn't mean the fix worked for everyone.

A new attempt at a fix will be available very soon. In the meanwhile, holding down the mouse in the window will refresh it, so you can see what it's about. Be sure you dont release the button before you're sure its the right one, though.
