Cannot export Midi chords after Harmonization

Posted

Synfire Pro 1.9 Build #71 (Mac) OS 10.14.3   I am returning to Synfire after an extended absence, but having no success exporting midi chords after harmonizing a melody. I did this before successfully so I'm not sure if I've forgotten to do something else also , or if this is a bug. Process is  Single track melody succesfully imported as midi from Logic Pro. Successfully harmonized. After export from Synfire and re-importing to Logic there are 2 tracks. The first is blank (except for asterisks and my name as the track name) the second track  is the original midi. No chords anywhere. This occurs from File>export> standard midi file.                            Container>export> standard midi file.  Matrix tab> drag and drop, drops only a single track (original melody-no chords)    Also selecting File>export settings does not reveal export settings. It does nothing (except if not on the Arrangement tab) Then it will return to the Arrangement Tab from any other Tab (but do nothing else) Have un-installed and re-installed with no change.

Thanks

Yeah, this is the single most source of confusion, also with HN2 users:

The Harmony parameter isn't 'chords' you could hear. It's a set of rules and constraints instruments are guided by. If you want to hear something, you'll need an instrument to interpret the rules.

Auto-chords actually is a convenience feature that spares you creating a full-chords Figure parameter. But if you did so, you could determine any rhythm for your chords, not just blocked-out sustained ones.
