Circle of Fifths palette disappears forever

Posted

Hello!  I'm having lots of screen redraw issues with my copy of Harmony Navigator 2. Specifically, the Circle of Fifths palette keeps disappearing, and nothing seems to bring it back, including restarting the application. The Circle of Fifths option under the Window menu is greyed out. The only way I have successfully brought it back is uninstalling the app completely and reinstalling. But after one or two uses the same issue crops up again, making it impossible to modulate to a different key.

Another screen redraw issue that I am experiencing every time I use the app: the palettes stay stuck "on top" of all other windows, even when I switch to another application. The only way I can make them disappear is by using the Hide Others keyboard shortcut.

Is there anything I can do to resolve these issues? They are severely impacting the usability of this app.

I am running Harmony Navigator LE 2.6.2 Build #3 on a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 MacBook Pro, running OS X 10.8.2.

Thank you!

Thanks for the report. Sounds new to me, unless I missed something.

You can bring the circle widget back using the small toolbar icon on the progression editor window. That toggles the widget on and off. Unfortunately there is no such icon on the palette window. A future version of HN will move most (if not all) widgets into a single window. At least that's the plan.

To make a palette behave like a normal window, check out View >> Window as Panel from the main menu. In certain situations, palettes open as always-on-top panels. This will be changed.
