Hi,
Will there be a way to change template or theme for the visual appearance of the software ?
I mean, the white and grey default template may be too flashy and many softwares users like to have a dark theme for visual comfort.

Hm. Basically an inverse color scheme would not be a problem, although fine-tuning colors is a real challenge.
The current black-on-white design takes into account that Synfire has more in common with notation software (kind of abstract dynamic sheet music), than with seqencers and audio equipment. The association of something laid out on paper less likely leads to false expectations than the usual dark look that is often modelled after studio hardware. The latter might suggest Synfire is in the audio production realm, which is definitely isn't.
I'm also afraid the dark design would not look as polished and cool as other designs of that kind, but that is worth a try. Anyway, this has no priority at this time. Things like these will most probably appear with the next major version.
