Demo MIDI problem

i get this error message when launching navigator.

it works the first time after i re-install but i get this message on subsequent tries.

any words of wisdom?

Then it must be Vista. The message indicates that some files could not be installed. Make sure you have administrator rights and have write access to the system's drivers directories (usually under C:\Windows\system32). Our installer is a bit weak and can't detect the permissions reliably beforehand.

You might also test installing in XP compatibility mode.

actually, i'm on XP Home SP3.

i re-installed today and was able to open the program 3 or 4 times without problems.

then i get the same error message.

That's strange. Normally this doesn't happen. Do you have any sort of automatic cleaning tool or similar running in the background? I remember there was a Spybot Doctor causing problems during the installation. I will investigate this further. Sorry for the hassle.

i disabled Advanced System Care Pro.
everything seems to work good so far.

of course, i'd rather not having to disable it but at least i can now give this demo a try.
