As discussed earlier, the Chromatic parameter will be part of the experimental features included with the next update.
I played around with it a little and heard some funny results. Here's how it works in detail:
The parameter transposes the /final/ pitches chromatically. Therefore it is kind of a postprocessing feature. The positions responsible for looking up the amount of transposition in the vector are the /final/ positions of the notes, i.e. /after/ Rhythm and Shift and such have been applied.
This ensures that all notes occuring at a particular place in the output will always be transposed by the same amount.
Anyway, there is no guarantee that long sustained notes that don't get split by the Auto-Split feature will not clash with others in an unwanted way. This however is the same with normal rendering, so you won't probably notice a big difference.
If you want to share your experience with this parameter, or ask questions, please post in this thread.

Fantastic!
Pitch bend, Chromatic flags, and a Chromatic Shift feature... These are really going to solidify Synfire as the tool for all situations.
I like the idea of an experimental section.
I can't wait to dig into the new phrase pool as well. I have not had a chance to play with the current one yet, but on the top of my todo list is importing some themes from an old project into Synfire for the shows network incarnation.
This should all help greatly. Thank you!
