Export Midi Puts every instrument on piano

When I export midi, it just puts everything onto piano.

I'm arranging using my computers midisynth in the global rack (no plugins), and the separate instruments play fine. But when I export and try play the midi from a different application, all the other instruments are gone and everything just plays on piano.

On the MIDI export dialog, be sure you tick the boxes

  • Program Changes
  • General MIDI

While GM is not generally necessary, most generic MIDI file players expect program changes to comply with that standard. Just try if it works for you with or without that option.

Also be sure to load the latest patch via Help >> Online Updates, which fixes a serious bug related to export.
