I regularly search for loops of several measures which can be interesting by selecting span on the time ruler. Then I split containers and repeat the segments of interest. But the results are generally not the same especially at repeat point. I come to think about voice leading interpretation: the interesting effect of looped part is that voice leading prepare for a certain chord change and it don't happen finally. the second effect is that when loop is finally released and the next chord (corresponding to voice leading prepared transition) is played it create a "satisfaction" effect.
For re-creating this effect: It can be really cool to have a "Chord destination" option for each chord in harmony parameter for voice leading algorythm to use when generating transition from one chord to the next.
