Is Halion Sonic and Halion 4 supported bij Cognitone for HN2 and SFP

Will these 2 VST  work in HN2 and SFP?

Halion Sonic SE does not work with the Cognitone Drones and Engines as we already discussed earlier. So I did not expect to get Halion Sonic full version working, when I recently upgraded to Halion Sonic full (they currently have a 99 € upgrade offer at Steinberg).

But - SURPRIZE - it works with Halion Sonic full. Both, the Engines and the Drones can load it and it works like charm.

Now I believe that Halion Sonic SE is intentionally designed by Steinberg to work only within Cubase.

Thanks!
Halion Sonic is a standalone Vsti..so it must work with SFP and HN2
Indeed Halion Sonic Se is only for Cubase .

Interesting is a educational version for Halion Sonic ...

Note : do you use the symphonic vst for Halion Sonic Se in Halion Sonic ? ( it doesn't work )

To use Halion Sonic with HN2 you still need to use the MIDI loopback driver, of course, because there are no drones or audio engines at HN2. Drones and audio engines are available only at Synfire.

Yes, the symphonic orchestra soundset for Halion Sonic SE (which comes as a trial with Cubase 6) works also at Halion Sonic.

I consider to buy the Halion 4 EDU version ..do you think that i can use the Symphonic Vst Halion Sonic Se there?
The Halion Sonic soundset is a subset of the Halion 4 15 gig soundset
The Halion Sonic Se is working in H4 than the Symphonic Vst will be working in H4, but this reasoning is not strong, because it is software

It is a standalone VST Halion 4, so it will be definely working with HN2 and SFP

I don't see a reason, why the symphonic sound library should not work.

It is a standalone VsT so it will be definely working with HN@ and SFP

Even if you use the Halion standalone version you will still need to use the loopback driver to connect it to HN. Btw: Halion Sonic full version can also be used standalone.
