When working with Harmonizer window have highlighted position be two inches from left. Let SFP automatically select a range of measures to work (say 4), but user could change that.. If you stretch have harmonizer spread accross the page.. It helps to see a history of the chords, as you make substitutions.
Also I'd like to hear the arrangement play the reharmonization, not the preview mix of instruments.. In fact do away with the preview mix altogether, it's just one more confusing feature. If you were working on a horn arrangement, that's what you want to hear the changes previewed in, not a different set of instruments.
It would be simpler if when you selected a bar # to re-harmonize, that SFP automatically display your choices rather than have to hit the + button every time..

A pre-roll area on the display sounds like a good idea.
The preview mix is very helpful if the arrangement is not dense enough to express the chords. Hearing the full chord and bass is important to make a decision (harmonic function). It's not a fancy extra feature, it is an indispensable part of the tool.
The plus button is required, because otherwise every click would add a new chord change. This would quickly mess up the progression.
