Yes interesting for the HN2_library!

I like to see 16/32 midi tracks for HN2, because 8 is too limited

I like to have a flute library files too for HN2
Are there people who want to share their midi libraries for using with HN2 ?
Piano-flute-Synthesizer-?-?->- Bass- drums to start as a template
Other templates also possible

Put them in the folder /Users/-yourname-/Documents/Harmony Navigator 2/Config/Libraries. Although I dont know if HN2 reads files created by Synfire. I think it should.

Thanks!

yes i did this earlier

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think all library are stored as "userlibraries"., than it should be in  my documents
In some other programs there is a division in in the name user or  factory content
The fact it is in my documents means that it a users document

I have tried this earlier today and put the coglib file in the HN2 library, but there was no phrase to select
Now i just download from Markstyles his library to give  it  a another try : Example Phrases ..this should be recognized by HN2 ?

O thats is a coincidence both the same name?, maybe it are the HN2 phrases..haha, so i must try another one

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I downloaded "piano jazz".COGLIB , but is not showing up in HN2 as phrase library..what's wrong with this ?

I could open this file by doubleclicking on it with SFP and the library screen is showing up

I try it to open the file with HN2 : error: unhandled exception: the indenftifier LibraryApp has no binding
So i am stuck with this now ..unfortanely.. there is al ot of Synfie pro library to examine, but no chance.

Question: is it possible to use the SFP library for his little brother HN2 ?

Hi,

That's great man to get these library files from you!
Maybe it will fixed, that there is exchange of library files between the 2 programs possible

Also better if you want to upgrade to SFP..you can use your old HN2 library files again, without first to export them and import them in SFP

I am curious to see what library files you give them the  HN2 users

hi janamdo
no need to do whole export / import process again after upgrade to SFP
because SFP can open HN2 libraries directly... without no problem

..
i hope you will find libraries useful
Enjoy.

Hi Soundcase

It is not exactly clear for what instruments your phrases are for ,some are, but others not

  • Xaos Bass --> ???
    Constr_Runescape_the Quixmaster..-> clear
  • ORC_2012_Choral_free -> clear
  • ORC_festive_YAYZ ->  ???
    ORC movies--> ??
  • ORC_susPiano2StrSection --> ??
    PIANOS_MK + PIANOS_MK --> clear ..piano
    Yamaha--> clear

    So i don't not exactly what sound to assign to your phrase in all cases

Hi
mostly i don't stick with instrument categories of libraries
everything can be useful for any instruments .

i can suggest when you previewing phrases use "plug kind " instrument like piano , guitar
also
IMO it will more useful to recognize phrase types ( rhythmic / sustain notes etc.. ) if you use mixed type instrument for example
its so classic but "Piano + strings" or "guitar + pad" combinations..

anyway

Xaos Bass : Bass obviously
festive is mostly for the Staccato Strings but piano will do the job for the preview
Orch_Movies has multiple types of instruments ( and most of the phrases has instrument name also)
again for the preview piano - guitar will do the job done.

ORC_susPiano2StrSection also has multiple categories + has instr. names in the phrase names
( pi : piano , str : Strings / Pads , gtr : Guitar etc. )
if no name for instruments : means mostly piano

but as i said this is doesn't matter
you can use them as you want/ like with the different instruments .

Thanks!

I will try to make aslo own phrases too for flute , but your phrases are a good start..works well with Halion 4

  • Halion features an arpeggio and phrase player: the so called Flex Phraser. You can select from a great variety of phrases that suit a wide range of of musical instruments and styles. Depending on the selected phrase, the Flexphraser uses your live playing to modify the phrase in real-time. Thi allows you, for instance, to re-harmonize phrases by  playing different chords.
