How to apply chords progression from a midi file from library

Posted

Since I couldn't find a way, I'd like to know whether it's possible or not to do this thing:

I start a new project, then I load a library with chords. When I find a chord progression that I like I drop it into a instrument channel, but since the key is C major and no progression yet created in the project, I'd like Synfire to recognize the steps from chords of the progression of the midi file that I have chosen and apply it into my project, changing the key of the project accordingly or simply transposing it to the current key of the project ( let's say C Maj).

Simply put, I'd like to sound exactly the way it souynds in the library, and to automatically set the progression of the project to that of the chosen midi file.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

Drag the Harmony parameter off the library phrase?

Every phrase should have one, since it was derived during import.

Thanks! That was so easy.. I will definitely spend more time watching the videos online and also reading the manual once again.
