How can I see all the AU instruments in drones (Logic Pro X)?

Posted

I have recently rescanned my plugins via "Audio & Midi Setup" > "Audio" > "Scan Installed plugins" and they appear in Synfire, at the Audio Units category, but I can't see them when I try to load them via drones, in Logic Pro X ( Actually, only 2 out of 15 of my VST instruments are showing). What can I do in order to have all my instruments scanned and showing in Drones, too?

Thanks!

Drones and Engine and Synfire use the same lists. You may need to restart the Logic project to see the changes.

I don't know why, I still have the same problem: only 3 third party plugin developers are available in drone mode. Actually, those are the same plugins that were available after I have installed synfire for the first time. The synths that I have added in the meantime are available only in Synfire itself.

Logic Pro X is 64 bit only. Therefore you will not see any 32 bit plug-ins listed.

Synfire has 32 and 64 bit engines, but the 64 bit drone hosted in Logic can only load 64 bit plug-ins.

I have enabled the "I prefer 64 bit engine", then re-scanned the au, now everything is ok.

Thank you!

errh.. you mean audio units in Logic right.. Logic will not work with VST's.  I seem to remember a post that SFP had trouble with Audio Units.. That may have changed..
