How to turn pallet/progression into arrangement?

Posted

I was working on a song that I then used to create an accompaniment. Next I opened a pallet. I was experimenting with chords and recorded a whole new progression which I saved.

At this point I wanted to then open this progression as a new arrangement and edit it. I knew it had all the instrument assignments but I couldn't figure out how to do convert the progression to an arrangement. If it's even possible.

Good question, and one I hope someone answers too. :)

This can be done, but is very convoluted. I can't remember how to do it, but search the forum as the solution has been posted some where.

This is even much simpler:

1. Open the accompaniment (Playback >> Edit Current Accompaniment)

2. File >> Convert >> Open As Arrangement

3. Copy the progression from the palette to the new arrangement (select all, copy, select Harmony parameter, paste)

:yeah:
