IMPORT CONTROLLERS DATA FROM MIDI FILE IN SYNFIRE PRO

Posted

Hi all

I have midi files created in ableton live that have in their tracks volumen controller data (7)

I import them in synfire pro and does not recognize them. When i import them i check the box import controllers but dont import them.

Is there a way to import the data of the volume controller data (7) and another controllers data like panorama (10) modulation (1)....that are in midi files into synfire pro?

Regards :)

Standard CCs are all imported. Did you look for the green LEDs on each instrument on the parameter block after import? These should be lit. Press the leftmost too icon above the parameter block ("View Parameters") and you will see the curves.

Hi shivaloca,
I'm not near my pc atm so can't check, but I'm believe this does work although the controller data appears under its relative parameter in synfire. At least I imported so midi with mod, pitch and volume wheels and used to create a tune. Im sure the data when it ended up in ableton contained the articulations although maybe not as much as i was expecting. Are you sure it exported from live correctly? What happens if you export from live, start a new project and drag in the midi does t then appear in the clip envelopes? Just reminded me, the articulations showed up in live in the clip envelopes not as articulation lanes in the session view.

Hi Everybody

Supertonic and Blacksun thanks to your fast answers.

Yes,is possible.i was trying to import the midi file without notes, only with controller data and synfire did not allow me to import the midi file correctly. The midi file was imported but without data controllers.

Then,is necessary to import the midi file with notes.I thought that it was possible to import the midi file with controller data patterns without notes

A lot of thanks Supertonic and Blacksun

Regards :)
