Install demo and then SYNFIRE PRO 1.8 DOESN'T OPEN

Hello,

 

I dowloaded the demo version  SYNFIRE PRO 1.8  and then installed it.

When tryinhg to launch it, it hang up 10 seconds and stop with no messge .

configuration; windows 10, java 8

 

any idea ?

Welcome to the forum, Eric.

In order to install on Windows

1. Make sure you are logged in as a user with administrator privileges.

2. Extract the entire downladed ZIP file to a new directory (important).

3. Run SETUP.exe found at the top level of the unzipped files. Note that running SETUP.exe from within the ZIP file will not work. You need to extract the ZIP entirely before you install.

4. Continue installation with the SETUP Utility that opens at the end of the installation procedure. You may need to click its window to the foreground, or pick it from the Windows task bar, as it may be minimized or hidden by other windows.

Do not run the MSI package directly. It would possibly not do any harm, but the installation may be incomplete on some versions of Windows.

Sorry, I still get the same weird behavior.  I did exactly  what you said.

and run the synfire thru the administrato Profile. 

 

small question.  synfiredemo.exe is installed in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Cognitone\Synfire Demo.

does it mean it s a 32 bits application ??

Did you download version 1.8.2 ?

Did you install iLok License Manager ? (www.ilok.com)

Synfire runs both 32 and 64 bit. Default audio engine is 64 bit. Control software is 32 bit.
