Install on other drive than C revisited

Posted

Hello, I wonder if it is possible to install Synfire on any other drive than C, since I have only limited space on C but lots on other HD's.To be more precise, I bought the pro Version(download) yesterday, and during install(setup.exe) there was no option to choose the directory to install to. Did I miss something here or is it on purpose?

Currently C is a requirement, although I don't remember why exactly. Vaguely, it has something to do with how 32 and 64 bit programs are distinguished on Windows.

Synfire doesn't come with huge sound libraries and is therefore very light on disk space (70 MB, or so). You can place your project folder on one of your other HD, although Synfire project files are also very lean. I wouldn't worry about footprint too much.
