Instrument path to see for embedded library

Posted

When i am importing general midi in the arrangement view there is a square (most right square) when i point the cursor on this, it shows what rack and sound is used. (path soundassigning)
Is this feature also possible for the embedded library ? .. a square what shows the soundassigning ?
It is easy to see in the arrangementview what sounds and racks are assigned, but as the arrangement view sounds must be the same as the embedded sounds for General Midi( also for not_General midi sounds)... i must compare them.

For one strange reason the embedded library assigns also sounds to not-general midi racks.
So i must make a comparison between the library sounds for general midi and the arrangement sounds for General midi to see if they are equal ( they must match with eachother)

So added a hotspot square to the embedded library sounds, to see the soundassigning path should be very helpful!

-Should also very helpful to have a directory tree in the embedded library .
- Also the possibility to listening to different -library phrases at the same time in the embedded library ( with this you can combine phrases for the arrangement )

Maybe one or more phrases running (looping) in the arrangement and add phrases from the embedded library to make a preselection  for a songsection.

i try to import a midi file with 17 instruments ... it seems that on the import dialog i can see that all kinds of racks are assigned to the sounds
I have used 2 GM racks: one for the global instruments and one for the arrangement ..so the soundassigning to racks is mixed

I do need only to start the GM rack : is it possible to assign a particular rack in the import dialog ?
Then the GM sounds are assigned, but some not for thi smidi file
I like to have in this case all sounds assigned to one rack with the right soundpath at least to it..so i don't have to look/search to a new rack again.

So if there is jumpmenu with the rackname in the midi import file dialog i can choose what rack can be used for the sounds, because the Synfire'sautomatic soundasigning is assigning the sounds here to many racks.

Found it : YES it is already there on the import dialog.. a relief.
