Introduce yourself (Birmingham SUG UK)

Posted

Hi everyone, I'll kick off this thread....

I'll becoming down from near Manchester for this SUG so cant really advise on venues in Birmingham. Been a Synfire user for a couple of years, working with ableton live and synfire. Mainly dance type music but prepared to have a go at anything. Have a couple of hardware synths as well as soft ones too. Not big on music theory, but thats what synfire is for ;)

thanks

Hello, I'm Pete, almost 53 years old now!  I got into this 'music thing' rather late in life but I'm enjoying every minute.  I don't get enough time to spend playing and learning unfortunately but maybe if I can retire in the next 5 years, who knows!

I can play a few chords on the guitar and my keyboard skills are improving all the time.

I live near Gloucester so Birmingham is ideal as it's only about an hour's drive away.  I've got a 64-key MIDI keyboard I could bring if needed (as I'm coming by car), and also some fairly dodgy little USB speakers I use for my laptop sometimes.

Hopefully there will be a few more to join myself and Martyn/Blacksun :)

Come on guys, introduce yourself in this thread if you live in the UK and think you would be interested in interacting with other Synfire users, even if you would only be interested in something across the internet rather than a face to face meeting.

Hey Mark, shouldn't you post this in the NYC group?  Unless of course you fancy a trip to Birmingham (UK), which would be great :)
