Browsing through the internet, I found this interesting paper.

It would be nice to integrate a smart walking bass line generator section in Synfire based on a given progression.

I'm a big fan of walking bass programming (and live playing on guitar), as well.

Great suggestion!

Let's hope that the Cognitone developers will be interested in implementing this idea.

I think you can already do walking bass with bass figure segments in quarter notes. Isn't there even a walking bass example in the Synfire example library?
