As a new user who just purchased Synfire sparks in order to use the Pallette, I would love to see a colour key which contains guidance on the meanings of each shade and colour, depending on which colour scheme is selected.

Open Coloring > Settings to see which mappings are active. Select the active ones to learn which colors are assigned. Open the help browser (question mark button) to learn more about colorings.
