I installed two drones in Cubase with two sounds each attached to it.
Drone 1 : midichannel 1 +2
Drone 2 : midichannel 1 +2
It seems to be not possible to play those four sounds from the two drones in Synfire by selecting a instrument channel ?..
It is only 16 midichannels for one drone to play with the midi keyboard as it seems.
That's a limitation.say i do have made a drone rack A and a drone Rack B in Cubase..

The solution for this is to use ONE cognitone drone in Cubase and connect the racks in Cubase
I made some racks for Halion 5(and more) and because HAlion has no sound bank extraction as i understand..i use the soundbrowser in Halion itself what is really good.
A template with racks in Cubase and load a drone in Cubase (now there is made a connection between synfire and Cubase)
Now you are ready to go by adding tracks in Synfire and choose whatever sound you want to use in Cubase and play them with the midi keyboard in Synfire.
