Hi
I dont use Drones for Vsti hosting
( i prefer Midi Drones) anyway ...
but in your case also must be the same principles
for this kind of job there is more than 1 way in Reaper
First way that i would prefer
its an option in the Right click menu on Track panel
"Enable Track Free Item Positioning"
just enable it and put your 2 midi clips in the Vsti (Drone) channel
....
Second way
after drag midi to Reaper select this new 2 channels
and make them as "Child" track for Vsti (Drone) track
last way
prepare inputs and outputs ..as you tried in gifs
but
after dragging midi to Reaper
you must
drag I/O from Midi Channels to Vsti channel
not from Vsti(Drone) channel to Midi channels
this will create "send" from midi channels to vsti(Drone) channel
and also
you do not need to send "Audio" from Midi Chs to Vsti
just select Audio routing to none.
..
i hope it helps
(also let me know if did i miss something)

Hi Soundcase
A lot of thanks to your fast answer,to your time gave in the help;i appreciate it so much
When i am in front of the computer i will study it
I gave a quick view to your gif and the visions are very fast,is there any way to pause the image when we see the gif videos created with LICEcap and is possible to see them as video without internet connection?

Hi all
Soundcase I have tried your two examples and works perfect, now i can direct the two midi channels to the drone and listen them
The problem is that i want to apply in the kontakt two different outputs to the two sounds:
Cello St 1 (1/2) Midi 1
Clarinet St 2 (3/4) Midi 2
And in reaper have the two sounds as in your example with two different midi channels assigned and also two different outputs to can insert different effects in the two channels.
In this gif i try insert a delay in the cello track but does not affect to the sound
How can i setting two different outputs in the reaper drone that come with kontakt setting?

its easy
click to FX button open the Fx chain window and right click to Kontakt
and Select "Build multichannel routing output for selected Fx"
done ..
see the gif
edt. also this is not specific to the kontakt
you can use this method for all Vsti that has multioutput

Hi
Soundcase i have tried with your advice ("Build multichannel routing output for selected Fx") and does not work for me.
I don,t know what i am doing wrong.
Only sounds the Cello St1 (1/2) Midi channel 1
The Clarinet St2 (3/4) Midi channel 2 does not sound
I will try with midi drones
Thanks

Hi
Did you have studied the videotuorials on the Cognitone site about Drones ?
It is a nightmare to figure this out..because it is timeconsuming and you cannot composing.
I thought there a 2 types of drones ( drone and midi drone )..depends how you use this in the DAW ?
I did for Cubase a while ago, but i cannot memorize it exactly anymore.
Look at the Wiki page https://users.cognitone.com/wiki perhaps you get there information
Strange in Ableton you get the Konakt multi out working..why not in reaper ?
Try to first install a VST multi out in reaper not as a drone , but as a external Vsti

Hi all
First; Soundcase thanks for your great help :)
Janamdo: Strange in Ableton you get the Konakt multi out working..why not in reaper ?
I have followed your sage advice and i have copied (moved) the same steps that follows Blacksun in his video "Synfire with Ableton Instruments
The key has been to turn on IN (green color) in the Drone Track and Send to Track 3 "Kontakt" in the drone track or Receive from track 2 "Drone"
Thanks to you to finally got!!!!!

Hi all
Sorry;I was doing it wrong
This gif video is the definitive, now we can record the midi into reaper from the synfire´s midi drone
By the way, soundcase,do you know how can i when press the play of synfire`s transport bar start reaper´s transport bar record red buttom automatically, synchronized without the need of press first the play button of synfire and after the red buttom of the transport bar?

Hi
in the Reaper forum i remeber a suggestion "wait for input" for Recording option like FL Studio does
but unfortunately we are not there yet..
if you want to record like this way
my only suggestion is put a few bars empty space in your Synfire Arrangement
so you will get enough time to press rec button after Synfire start to play.
by the way why you don't export midi to daw or standard midi file then drag to Reaper instead of this painful direct recording?

Hi all
Soundcase,if you create a template in reaper and synfire with these settings you forget the pain original...
Export and import midi is more simple but more tedious,i like the immediate interaction between synfire and the other daw, record direct midi from synfire to daw and record direct midi from daw to synfire (this would be fantastic by rewire or IAC ports) and then you can apply or not (static) the synfire magic to the recorded take by figure recognition

Hi all
Soundcase:
-In the Reaper forum i remeber a suggestion "wait for input" for Recording option like FL Studio does
* Ok,thanks.I will post that in the forum
Soundcase:
-My only suggestion is put a few bars empty space in your Synfire Arrangement
* Is a great idea for the moment
Soundcase:
-Why you don't export midi to daw or standard midi file then drag to Reaper instead of this painful direct recording?
*I think that import and export midi file is an option but for me essentially cuts off the flow of inspiration
