Make a preference for arranger page moving notes

There should a preference, like in Logic's piano roll editor - that you can only move a highlighted section in one direction at a time. either lengthwise in time or up/down in pitch..  Two often I try to move a riff or drum roll,  I can conrol the length by quantize value, but it's difficult to sometimes get it to be the exact pitch..

So drums turn into something else.. Or the riff is now transposed to an unwanted pitch..

also when you are working on a track in an arrangement when you place the cursor on a track that should be the time point and track you wish to cut paste on, instead of having to go to the time line (measures) and then back down to the track you want to edid

Also if you divide a container. Where you place the cursor (on which row of containers) should be the one divided.. You always have to select the position in time line first, and select the container, an extra wasted step.

How down SHIFT while you drag.

It should be so already. The span tool at least works this way.

Also if you divide a container. Where you place the cursor (on which row of containers) should be the one divided

You do not always want to split all containers that cross the playhead line.

Thanx Andre:

Will check out SHIFT

In question 3. If you select the first tool  (Capital I with a point right icon, and then select a container, it highlights.. You should then just go and select the point and the yellow guide down arrow from measure row, will be also light up for accuracy. That should be your desired point, rather than having to go to measure row, and place the cursor where you want and then select the container..  It cuts out one step.
