Middle line in phrase editor

Posted

  I use now the booklet for modulation from Max Reger..they are all in cadence form to show the principal form of modulation.

Handy to start with.. so i made a modulation from Cmajor to Dmajor ( the first example in the booklet)
I fill in the chords in the pallette, and must also fill in the chords in the phrase editor, but how to do this correct is the purpose of this question. ( if possible )

To find out ...

=================================================================

I do have a question about the root tone of the scale of the middle line for different measures.
C(c-major)-B(D-major)-D(D-major)-G(D-major) ( measure -2-3-4-5-6-)
Is the root tone on the middle line of phrase editor for key  C major for measure 2--> c ?
Is the root tone on the middle line of phrase editor after Cmajor( after measure 2) ---> d ?

==============================================================

Suppose the middle tone (tonic note of scale) chances for a (vertical: correct)scale used in the palette, than i can construct one chord per measure in the phrase editor

Well do i get a answer on this ?

Note: Enclosed a synfire file to get a idea of this, the triads here are in rootposition and in this first example  of Max Reger Cmajor to Gmajor they are inversion used ( i did not here )to get a smooth voiceleading
----------------------------------------------------------------------

C1 , G11(first inversion),GV6/4(second inversion), GV| G1 (notation used by Max reger roughly)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
C1 is souce key and G1 is target key..C1-(modulation chords)-> G1

example  G11 = the second degree of the Gmajor scale = B triad

note: the manual explains that the middelline of the phrase editor is related with the pallette for a given harmony
So it seems than that the tonic note of the middle line chances for a choosen palette key

 ============================================

Ok i start over again with the new embedded Palette and now i fill in the chord progression the Cmajor to D major chord progression from Max Reger example

I don't construct chords now in the phrase editor, but leave this blank ( they are not correct in

  mod_cmajor-dmajor.cognac

 ) , but first listening to the chord modulation progression (option : instant feedback) and press the chords one for one with the mouse and see how the chords are played inthe keyboard.

1) Is it possible to listen to this progression also as a whole without clicking ?

2) Can i  transfer the chords from the keyboard to the arrangement view ( a  imbedded keyboard there for getting the chords in the phrase )

3 I am still don't now how to see those chords who are belonging to a particulair key ( here is shown the Dmajor scale in the palette )--> what are the triads, sevenths, ninths, elevenths and thirteenths.

THIS SEEMS TO BE A BOTTLE NECK : not knowing what triads/ sevenths /etc, belonging to a key in the palette, because Max Reger points to choose a chord on a scale degree : first example book C major to Gmajor : GII(firstinversion)= second degree chord on Gmajor scale and has a first inversion .. so a A triad , but there are many triads to choose here in the palette ??????????????????????????????
4) If it is correct done than i have made a Chord modulation from Cmajor to  Gmajor on the most basic way ( cadense )..this modulation i can save than ... the underlying notes can differ ( content ).
Content (phrases) + Form (harmony) in Synfire = music

5) This modulation should also be made with the palette and the circle of fifths

Ok, enough about this topic modulation...( i give this topic already a large amount of attention in the past )
