Needed routing in Cubase 6.5 to try to make new phrases

Posted

I need a Vst i plugin what has no midi out ..routed the audio from the Vsti into a audio track in Cubase6.5

Important to get this routing working tha n i can try to produce more phrases for HN2

So is there someone who knows this routing in detail ?

I don't understand exactly what this routing has to do with producing phrases for HN, but anyway, here is the routing:

1. Create a new audio group bus: VST-connections >>  Groups/Effects >> add new group (see picture Cubase_Bus_Group.png).

2.  Connect an effects send channel of the instrument track (where the VSTi is loaded) with that new audio group bus. Make sure that send is switched on (picture Instrument_Send_to_Group.png)

3. Connect the audio input of the audio track with that audio group bus (picture Cubase_Audio_GroupBus_Input.png)

I explain: i try to record the audio output of the flexphrases recorded in Cubase and than try to extract the midi notes from them..and get a phrase .. if it works ??
I try it ..

Thanks for the routing..

How to record the output of the Vst instrument to the audio track?

Is it in one go ? ..seems to me logical ..the Vst i producec audio ( there is no buffer ? ) what is routed directly to the input of the audio track

I find it difficult to deduc this setup..o yes sends  ( not to confuse with effect sends )

Ok i managed to record the Vsti midi output onto a audio track ! ..In the case of a recorded flexphrase i must distract the midi out of th e audio--in Cubase can this be done or with melodyne

- i am uncertain about he midi extraction

- the extracted midi notes are specific for a flexphrase program (sound in Cubase).. so the phrase is not general in use

No idea if it get working.. a lot of work for a phrase, but if the phrase in HN2 sounds like in Cubase!
