I have been working on a video to show my workflow when producing a dance track using synfire.
Once Id got the song 'finished', I stumbled by chance across an official acappella of a tune. By editing the vocals and changing the chord progression of the song id made, the two went together pretty well.
Not happy with the instrument choice, but it was always about the work flow not the end song. Working an an extra part for the video that shows reusing my original song to make a remix of adeles tune.
Have a listen to the remix and let me know what you think... will post the tutorial video when Ive finished editing it.

Great idea. IMO, the intro could be shorter and the vocals could need more volume and presence in the mix.
I don't know what 'official acapella' means, but in case someone would complain about infringement, having turned down the volume would not make much a difference.
Also, since her voice is rather calm, try a minimal and airy arrangement that leaves enough room for it to breathe.
Making a finished tune work for different vocals is something that still happens to surprise me.
