non-pitch notes / Hyper edit

Posted

Hello, I would say that synfire is the best thing that happened to me in a long time!. what I miss is a good way to program drum tracks. a step seqenser / hyper edit(Logic way) would be nice and or a way to send non-pitch midi notes to au/vst example a loop on C4. it is very frustrating not to be able to do everything in a sensible way in synfire. This is synfire biggest weakness... Andre and cognitone i hope you get this in synfire

A very satisfied consumer

ps

Sorry for very bad English

We plan on having support for mapped pitches in the prase editor, that is, a limited set of pitches maps to names like "bass drum", "hihat", etc. for easier editing.

You can edit drum patterns with the phrase editor already. Be sure to use the brown (p) symbols for this. If you keep the vector short, you have a nice loop effect. There's also a HyperEdit feature ("Show Figure Properties"). This will be even better supported with the next update.
