Painkiller a new track by bl4cksun

Posted

Just released a new experimental track designed using binaural beats to help provide a release from chronic headaches (my wife's been a sufferer for 2 years).

All the music was composed in Synfire using Ableton live as the daw before being processed to add the binaural beats.

Jury is still out on its use as a painkiller, but it is a very relaxing piece. I'd apprieciate feedback, good and bad.

I like it, too. Induces a relaxed, constant state of mind. Definitely soothing.

Check out Bill Frisell's "The Beach" (1988) (). Not as soothing as yours, but similar, in a way. Don't know, but sounds to me he probably did this with real instruments, a sax, strings, adding lots of layers and loops. Totally not typical for him (which is somehow typical). It's one of my all time favourite pieces.

thanks everyone for the comments and listens. You are right Andre about the beach, does have a very similar sound, love to know how they did that with real instruments. Wonder if they used some post processing in the studio.  Checked out Bill Frisell's back catalog, my god he's been productive! Wish I had the drive and inspiration he must have.
