Hello everybody
i have a big probleme for this day
i try to rec sound reaper and synfire rewire, normaly any probleme, but today when i press rec the bar on reaper go s at 9990 and i can do nothing..like crazy offset somewhere in synfire
impossible to rec at the start of the track 0 because reaper go at 48 minutes
how its possible?
whats wrong??
help please!
i want jus rec on the start to listen my music play with the rec synfire
you think its reaper the problem? :-?
oh my god i test with cubase and no problem happen
and i see in reaper the counter is not good synfire start before the time
arrrg somebody know reaper out there?

Synfire has a pre-roll before recording, even if you disable the metronome lead-in. This is required to properly synch the programs.
Reaper can't locate its transport to negative positions (many other DAW also can't). Therefore you need to add 1-2 bars lead-in to your arrangement in both Synfire and Reaper. This will allow you to record from the start of your song (the first container) in sync with the DAW.
By the way, it is never a good idea to start a song on transport zero. You will always need someting to be placed before the song start, e.g. CCs or program selections, SYSEX stuff and whatnot.

Just move everything in the DAW and in Synfire 1 bar to the right, so there is one empty bar at the start.
Or just "Pack" the root container and move it one bar to the right.
If this is too much hassle, you can perform your recordings later in the song and then move the phrases to the beginning.

yes normaly i do like that, i place my track corectely after
but now i cant the rec in reaper move at 37minute no possible to do nothing, all my vsti sound drop in reaper

1- why do you want to record (i assume from synfire to Reaper) ?
just export from sfp to desktop then drag to reaper or use the File/export to daw...
if this is what you want to accomplish.
if it wasn't ..
then what do you want to record?
more detail needed...

ok sorry ,lets me explain me better
now when i play start on synfire , reaper folow with corect location bar
but when i just press rec, reaper jump to 69990 bar 37 minutes
impossible to do nothing on my track
yes synfire can rec, yes the rewire transport play
but with a location to 37 minute on reaper
and all my job track beggin at 0 on reaper
i hope my english is not to zamoumda.. (prince of new york movie)

ah ok now i see reason is exactly what Andre described..
also same jump to bar : 65905 happened here when i try same record..
anyway...
lets fix it:
you have to start your projects a few bar later for example bar 5.
so
i think in your synfire project everything in the main Container if yes right click it and select the "Pack" ...
this command will move everything from main container to new and movable container..
and again click to main container and drag drop your Harmony to this new container .
now you can move this new container start point to bar 5,
also correct your reaper project's start point too.. that's it!

hello just a last question
when i do my music and i do pack in the container , i cant do the suite of this sound , the instrument dont play anymore
i can listen what i create in the pack , but is not possible to use the same instrument anymore for the suite of my melody build?
i hope what i ask is clear , because zamounda is in the house...

right click to instrument name and select the New instrument with same sound..
or you can use the main menu as in the gif..
also if you want to keep parameters ( interpretation or any CC messages etc.) you can duplicate instrument
( in the right click menu of instrument name..... or from main menu/ instrument ) then you can
just replace the figure / phrase.
