Question about Chord Progression Presets.

Posted

I was attempting to make a Chord progression preset, consisting of several different progressions.  Once I created a new chord progression section, I couldn't figure out how to rename it after creation.

I then tried by opening a chord palette, working out chords.  I then went back to chord progression window and created a new section, and gave it the name before actually writing in chords (I-II - ivm etc).  I then pasted/copied from chord palette to chord progression window.

Is there a way to rename a progression preset or delete it?

The presets are just normal "cogpro" files kept in a special directory. You can rename these files manually or delete them if you want. Don't remember exactly right now where the directory is under each OS, but you can easily see it in the "Save As Preset" file dialog.

What I meant was I want to create a progression like your Circular Modulation progression.  When you open it up you have different sections.

I wanted to create a RnB progression - with several different sections in it.  It seems once you create and name a section, you can't rename or delete it.  (I can't figure it out)

Ah, ok. The progression editor (File >> New >> Progression) has a "Section" menu where you can create and rename sections. The appear in the menu button's menu then.
