Should be interesting to use them in Synfire.

I have realguitar and reallpc and use there patterns in synfire. It are midi notes in the C-2 range so you have make sure your instrument playing range covers that area. Set RealGUitar to MIDI>CHORDS in silent mode. Then you import the pattern midi file with absolute pitch, draw in a chord and let it play. I actually transferred a lot of patterns to a library to work from.

Thanks Marco!

Good video.., but it lacks some clarity!
- how do you get that chord in the video for the pattern?.. i guess you made it by yourself a maj 7

Now i must figure out to get those patterns with a static pattern down and a chord at the top as showed in your video.

Jan

Thanks for the picking library !

Note: is it possible for you to add your video to the wikipage on the cognitone site?

Hi

Is it not easier to use the REALguitar Vsti in Synfire only in the midi chord mode?

The midi chord track in Synfire drives the pattern mode.
You could compose the guitar riff first in  the Songmode for chords or using in the pattern mode the Bass"n"Chord tab and playing live chords on  keyboard and listening to the chord transitions.
Than add the chords in Synfire and drag and drop the harmony parameter on the figure parameter slot to get the real midi chords for driving the pattern.

To get  a rough song you could make a wav file directly in Synfire or with more mixing quality in a DAW as a drone ( but that after you drag and drop the chords from Synfire ( after finishing composing ) on the DAW track.

Thanks for the picking library!
Further i noticed you use a dynamic channel assignment in your device description.
A dynamic device description is used for GM (general midi )
I think a fixed channel should be better ?

I was lost with this setup at that time way back,  and maybe looking again to this setup could be easy
