Scale keyboard is estranged from from the real notes

Posted

I like to see some improvements for the scaleboard to become more usefriendly...

  • Step forwards/backwards ( pauze )
  • Under the notelenghts numbers ..the old traditional note symbols
  • Dotted notes
  • Slur (bow) --> when i click on slur option and click on a symbol the neighbour symbol is attached with the click symbol ( no calculation anymore necessary for note lenghts )

There must be a more intuitative ( easier ) way in Synfire to work with dotted notes and slur notes
Very unpractical that i must count all the time.
The practice is that i use a  score with the notes on it and bring this in with the scaleboard.

Extend the scaleboard with the real note ( dotted too) icons menu row that i can toggle on/off and add also slur icon too.
For the slur you need two symbols and when you select a symbol ( after first click on the slur icon ) ..SF two symbols are connected
That means that the second symbol is removed from SF and the first symbol length is extended to fill the gap length of the second symbol.

I hope that there will be coming for SF/E, a scaleboard version with real notes( = dotted)  icons and slur functionality

Although there is workaround with slur notes:  construct both notes with the lenghts .. select first note and use arrow up for uplifting the first symbol..to see the both symbols clear length.
Than extend the first symbol length ( how far?) you can see for that the second symbol length .so it becomes equal.
Than you remove the second symbol and lower the first symbol back on the first position..woow

A lot of work for two slurred notes ..if this can be replaced by clicking on a slur icon and clicking on the start symbol..much userfriendlier and less work.
