If I understand correctly, you want that Synfire always sends out all notes of the current scale. Correct?

You could create a special phrase for this task. This phrase just need to consist of a figure with stacked vertical-scale-symbols (turquoise color). Place one symbol on every "staff line". Will look like a chord with 7 symbols. Make the duration of this "chord" one measure and loop the phrase. Switch off the setting "cooperative" at the interpretation parameter for this instrument to avoid influences from voice leading.

I can not make a test at the moment, but I would expect that the result is that this instrument sends out a "chord" on every measure which contains every note of the current scale and follows the changing scales.

BTW: How do you create these short GIF-videos?

I'm happy that it works.

for the gif record i am using LICEcap

Thank you for this information. A short video is much better to demonstrate somerhing than just screenshots and not always it makes sense to create a large youtube video. This is a perfect tool for that. Thanks again.

Exporting the scale is a good Idea.  I currently export the chord progression and it's ascii list of chords, and incorporate that into Logic. It shows up in score editor.

I import and mute SFP chords, so that they show up as tranparent in piano roll editor. I then highlight that and desired track to edit.  In a way it's simple, cause you can see all the chord changes thru piece. Might be too cluttered witht the scale (although I've thought of that).

The visual stimulus of Seeing the chords is throughout the piece in piano roll editor or chord names in score editor is enough for me, to know the scale of that section of piece. Strange - this trick I've been doing for about two years now, has helped me become very good at relative pitch.   I can easily fix or add notes and phrases, without have to physically play them.

The other day a had a singer, very adept at stacking harmonies.  She had doen three already, and paused what too add next.  I intuitively knew she had skipped the 3rd and 6tth for that riff she was laying in.  A first for me.. THANKYOU SFP.
