not sure if this is posted in the forum or not as I cant reply, only comment...but....

are you trying to use it with a daw and synfire or just synfire? If a daw, which one?

What are you trying to do with it? it should work as a keyboard midi controller and you might even be able to get the transport controls to work. If you are trying to get clever with it and use it just with synfire to alter midi cc controls, it should work as well but you will have to manually map each control in your instrument definition.

ok, this was done with a drone in ableton live, but the process is very similar if you use a vsti in the engine...

It shows how to map a midi cc to a synth parameter.

?t=2m14s

If the synth doesnt support midi learn, you will have to find out what the appropriate midi cc values are for your synth.

Once you have that working then all you need do is setup the appropriate mapping in the novation device to generate the correct midi cc. Once thats done, you should be able to overdub/record your knob twiddles and map to the approrpriate parameter in synfire. I havent tried this but it should work.

If anyone else knows different please update us both.

Transport controls are in the preferences, just find out what novation keyboard generates for them and add them to synfire.

Synfire and Novation keyboards go together very  well. To assign the transport buttons for remote control, go to Audio & MIDI Setup, the 'Settings tab, and press 'Learn' for each control and then tap it on the keyboard.
