> pentatonic scale of a chords

I assume you ask whether you can restrict your music to a pentatonic scale and chords that fit into this scale. It is indeed possible to define custom scales for Synfire (in the catalog of chords and scales), in case the pentatonic scale is not already predefined. Then you can open a custom palette for that scale (e.g., by double clicking on it in the catalog). In case your final music includes pitches beyond the intended scale, make sure that your pentatonic scale is the horizontal scale of your chords in the progression editor and use horizonal symbols for your melodic lines to restrict your voices to the desired scale.

Note however, that your set of possible chords is rather restricted with only the pitches of a pentatonic scale.

You can just select pentamajor or pentaminor as your vertical scale. Of course the chord must be part of the scale so you can select it in the first place, but a special Palette is not needed.
