After a month with Synfire and getting use to it's ways coming from DAWs I'm making progress. I only just started recording into Synfire. Frist using chord detection to find new chords and progressions I didn't know then selecting the chords from the correct palette and recorded in new ideas on the figure page and start to layer sounds and if needed change the chords in progression as the project builds.
Is this what you guys do too ? Any suggestions would be great.

More or less, it's come up with your own way of doing things. Sometimes what I do is go to my library to search for patterns that sound good and load them into the snippet grid, then play around with what's playing until I find something I like, load that into a memory or directly into library and make variations until I have something I think I could build a song from. Then I move those memories into one of the more linear views and do fine edits and add more stuff as needed.
