My first post. Kicking Synfire Express 1.8.5 around and enjoying it very much, having tried the demo version for a couple weeks before springing for the real thing.
I notice the manual incorectly indicates Synfire Express supports up to 16 instruments. This is contrary to the comparison web page which indicates a 32-instrument limit. I've confirmed the 32-instrument limit is correct. I didn't find this mentioned anywhere, so figured I'd post.
BTW, Synfire has totally changed my composition workflow, all for the better. I have a big pile of ideas and this is the perfect way to turn them into figures and fully develop them. My workflow is different from most here, I suspect. Before, I worked Finale -> Cakewalk. With Cakewalk virtually folding, I migrated to Reaper. So, I will be bouncing back and forth between Finale, Synfire and Reaper in my workflow.
