Transposing custom palette in other key?

Posted

Hi,

This palette system is just fantastic, it's in fact something I was dreaming of for a long time!

But I'm struggling a bit.. I have created a custom palette in C hungarian minor with custom chord voicings and now I'd like to navigate into other keys.

my first try was to right-click another note in the scale and to select i.e. "assume F is root".. but for an incompehensible reason this choice is not selectable most of the time (grey).

The second choice would be to open the Circle of fifths page.. but here the problem is that any new key you select it will link you to new "standard" minor major palette in that specific key, which is not wat I want.

So I'm stucked in C hungarian minor ;)

Did anybody solve this situation?

I think it would be great if the cicle of fifths was customisable as well. I mean, I understand that the circle of fiths' purpose is to modulate between adiacent keys in the common tonal major-minor system but I would like to take any other mode (i.e. Hungarian minor) and to see the relationships to his 11 other transpositions.

regards

Olivier

Hi Olivvier

Just for short, I'm in hurry to go out of office …

take a Palette

mark a pitch (in my pict, I marked a, maybe you have numbers)

go menu Layout

go (dunno in English) to "Betrachte …" (dunno if you mean "Grundton" or "Tonales Zentrum" … try both ;-) )

cheers,

Minkepatt
