Trigger sound when moving drum note.

Posted

I know you can click on a drum note in an instrument track and hear it.  It would be helpful if you were moving several of the same notes (in this case and unwanted sleighbell)- so that with each new position you moved the note SFP would trigger the sound.  This way you could more easily change and decide on the sound in one step.

Tyros 4 like many other synths and Virtual Instruments  have alternate snare, kick, and toms, on notes not normally assigned to GM.  This makes it very easy to modify a drum track without having to use another instrument just to trigger a snare from a different patch.

Transposing a static pitch symbol ("drum note"), as with any type of symbol , already makes it sound when you use the arrow keys. I always use the arrow keys to tranpose, because that gives me better control over the number of steps and avoids accidentally moving the notes sideways.

Thanx, missed that one - yes that will be very helpful.  (perhaps it would be more helpful if I read thru the manual again. I found a lot of things went totatlly over my head, but as  I gain some insight, a 4th, 5th, reading etc. let's me glean more information out of it.

Is there a 'shortcut' list around.  Stuff like using the arrows, the letters QWE, how to ouput straightchords by using autochord...  I bet a lot of us are not aware of all of them.. Some of these seems like things you put into the code a while ago, and kind of goes by unnoticed.
