Is there any chance that a future upgrade of HN2 could include a function for importing audio (I'm thinking vocals here, but could be anything really) so that rather than having to harmonize against a Standard Midi File version of a melody you could use the original vocal itself?

We do not yet have any plans in this regard, but you might want to check if there are third party audio-to-midi tools available that you can plug bewteen your mic and the midi input. This way you could use your voice instead of playing the keyboard.
BTW: If you happen to find an audio-to-midi solution that works for you, we would be interested in learning about this (perhaps just post your results here). Other users might also be interested.
