I looked at the example of tutorial : ducking: reducing the volume of symbols that fall below a selected “ducking” segment.
With the new Tracks display screen, could it be indicated more clearly where ducking is applied?

That's probably not possible because both, the original Figure and the one with ducking segments, may loop at different lengths, so there's nowhere this could be made visible except in the final output.
In the same way it's hard to show for a Figure symbol which MIDI note it generates (users asked for this). A symbol happens to generate a different note at every loop. And there may also be parameters like Transpose, Morphing in effect. Even different Interpretation settings change the pitch.
Synfire is actually an algorithmic composing system based on parameters that evolve over time, leading to different outcomes as time passes by. That's powerful and inspiring but can be confusing at times, especially for DAW users that are used to the timeline being static.

Absolutely. Suggestions are always welcome!
We just updated our press information.
Users who come from a DAW are accustomed to the idea that recorded music is static and absolute. In contrast, everything in Synfire is dynamic and relative.
I think if this is made more clear from the start, new users will embrace the algorithmic dynamics of Synfire more easily.
